Maori TV is looking to make a documentary about NZ troops' involvement in the Battle of Coral/Balmoral in 1968, to be shown next ANZAC Day. 161 Bty was closely involved.
As you may know Maori TV has over the last few years made quite an event of ANZAC Day, and this year screened a documentary on V3's contact where Maurice Dodson got his MC.
They are apparently interested in continuing this series, and want to do the next one on Coral/Balmoral.
We need to get hold of those involved who are interested in assisting with the documentary, in particular Tiny Manuera, Dave Maxwell, Bill Cooper, Neil Rhynd and Alex Graham.
Could anyone interested please contact Rod Baldwin - rgbcgb@xtra.co.nz - or Barry Dreyer - b.dreyer@clear.net.nz
If you know anyone involved please encourage them to respond; this is an important part of our history and the ANZAC tradition.
Regards, Barry Dreyer, Col Comdt
