Col Comdt's message to RAA for Gunners Day

GUNNERS’ DAY GREETINGS
Fraternal Gunners Day greetings to all in the Royal Australian Artillery, those serving and those who have served the guns.
There are strong linkages between us going back now well over 100 years and these will continue in the future.
I was fortunate to be at the recent 60th Anniversary of the battles fought close to ANZAC Day 1951 around the Imjun River in Korea, travelling with NZ veterans from those battles and with serving members of the RNZA. We were joined by Australian, Canadian and UK Veterans and serving gunners and other corps – the cross Commonwealth links remain very strong.
Gunners Day is a day of celebration of our Corps, our trade as Gunners, our combined history and our friendships across the years, as well as time to reflect on those of us lost and those suffering. It is also important to look forward and wish current Gunners and all future Gunners our best wishes and strength in carrying forward the great Gunner traditions.
From all ranks in the RNZA to all ranks in the RAA, greetings on Gunners Day 2011. May you have a good day of thought and celebration of Gunner things and comradeship.
Ubique
