Korean Presidential Unit Citation for 16 Fd Regt.

The formal approval for the Award of the Presidential Unit Citation to 16 Fd Regt RNZA from the Republic of Korea is linked here. The approval also outlines eligibility for wearing the award.

There will be an award ceremony in Linton Camp on Gunners Day Thursday 26th May this year. The ceremony will start at the 16 Fd Regt parade ground, with the Regt marching on at 1230. At this ceremony, eligible veterans will be presented with their award by the Minister of Veterans and Patriots, Republic of Korea. Well done 16 Fd Regt and in particualr those living and deceased Korean veterans who won this award with their "exceptionally meritorious service and heroism" during the period 15 December 1950 and 1 November 1951, and in particular at the battles around Kap'yong during the Chinese offensive in April 1951.
