This was their first meeting since the 76th Annual Reunion and AGM at Taupo last November.
Several committee tasks were allocated and Tony McLeod was appointed President to fill the vacancy left by Frank Hopkinson’s retirement. Tony is also the Treasurer and Correspondence Secretary. Joe Panaho was appointed Vice President and Colin Jensen is assistant Secretary. Barry Dreyer has become ex-officio as he is the newly appointed Col Comdt RNZA. The meeting congratulated Barry on his appointment.
There are eight projects in process, including 2011 group return visit to Vietnam, and 2012 9RAR/161 Bty commemorations in Sydney.
Continuing and projected relationships with a variety of gunner related organisations were discussed and either agreed to continue or to expand the level of liaison. The committee decided to be more active in promoting closer ties with present gunner units and Linton Camp.
