CORPS PROPERTY
Some readers will be aware that our Association recently formed an historical working group to assist the CO in cataloguing and managing the various items of RNZA property held in the Regimental Museum in Linton and at various other sites around the country. The property ranges from important silver trophies, through photograph collections to significant memorabilia.
The decision has been taken to form a registered charitable trust aimed at owning, preserving, protecting and enhancing these important RNZA items. The Trust will be a mix of serving gunners and Association members under the direction of the Colonel Commandant, the Regimental Colonel and the CO 16 Fd Regt, with assistance from the Director of the National Army Museum. Initial responsibilities of the Trust will cover all those items that readers will remember as Unit Private Property of RNZA units, wherever that might be located.
The first task will be identification and recording of all items into a purpose built database, a mammoth task. More on all this later, but an exciting project.
If you have a particular interest or want to assist, please contact Tony McLeod or the Col Comdt.
