31138 Cecil Max (Doc) SCHWASS, MBE, MSM, JP, RNZIR, ex 2NZEF WW11 Italy and Pacific, 1NZ Regiment 1961-63 Malaya, nine RSM appointments; the last one being Christchurch Army Area until his retirement in 1972, passed away at Princess Margaret Hospital, Christchurch, today, Tuesday 17 May 2011.
A Full Military Funeral for Doc is to be held at the Lamb and Hayward Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Christchurch, on Friday 20 May 2011 at 1030hrs. It has been requested that medals be worn, please.
Doc is survived by his widow, Nell, and son, Bill.
