This is short notice BUT, there is an“Informal Gunners Meal” planned at 263 Bealey Avenue Christchurch, 1830 for 1900 on Thu 26 May.
The Intent is a casual get together, share a meal and a port. Speight’s Ale House serves very good meals and has a price range described as “Moderate, $15 - $25”
This is the location where we will be hosting the RNZA Association, Fri 11 – Sun 13 Nov 2011 on the same weekend as the Canterbury Show.
More details will be coming out soon, but an outline for the Reunion/AGM activity is as follows:
Venue “Bealey Hotel & Speights Ale House”, 263 Bealey Avenue Christchurch – very near the CBD
Thu evening – 1600ish onwards. Gathering at the Ale House. Meals available. (Fri is a public holiday in Canterbury)
Fri morning. Attend Christchurch Remembrance day service – exact loc TBA.
Fri afternoon free time – Show day, races etc.
Fri from approx 1700 Meet & Greet at Ale House (we have a separate bar). Meals available.
Sat 1000 to (no later than) 1500. Breakfast available at Ale House before trip. Bus trip to Godley Head, equipment and other demonstrations by 39 Bty. Lunch included in cost of no more than $20-$30/person (bus, food & drink)
Sat 1830 for 1900 Dinner at Ale House, within the range $45-50/person. This will include some wine on the table and port. Additional wine will be available for purchase at a discounted price.
Sun (exact time TBA) 1000 – brief Service then AGM at Ale House.
