Opepe Historic Graves signage

Margaret Marks, Senior Adviser Monuments and memorials at the Ministry of Culture & Heritage, advises that the Department of Conservation ". . . had not put in a standard DoC entrance sign with walks/times/distances to backup the orientation map on the present sign on the grassy bank because of planned track changes. . . . they have just finished realignment of the bush walk on the north side of SH5 so now have an accurate times/distances and are installing a new sign at the top of the grassy bank for this, with new directional signs at the junction to emphasise which way to the cemetery and which way around the bushwalk."
