Fort Buckley, Wellington, NZL

One of five forts built in 1885/86 to protect Wellington’s inner harbour, Fort Buckley is sited on the northern tip of Wades Hill overlooking the western harbour near the present ferry terminal. The inner harbour was defended by three batteries.
