Danny McCort, Denis Dwane and wives attended the 173d Airborne Brigade Memorial Dedication at Fort Bragg Georgia 1 June prior to attending the Annual 173d Reunion 2 - 7 June at Myrtle Beach Nth Carolina. The memorial is an eye-catching design and has the names of all unit members killed during Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. The memorial lists the names of Sgt Al Don and Bdr Jock White KIA in Aug 65 and also those Australians KIA during the 65/66 period. New Zealand was well represented by the serving members at the ceremony: Brig David Gawn (Land Component Commander), Lt Col Andrew Shaw (Defence LO Washington), Maj Bob Gillies and WO1 Wayne McCasey, RNZA. Wayne was in the Colour Party and had been attending a course at El Paso. Danny is writing up a script for the RNZA Newsletter.
