Krupp and Hotchkiss guns from over 100 years ago

John Osborne writes:
Havelock North is 150 this year and we the HBFSA Inc and NZACFRS Inc were given the Havelock North Krupp Gun in 1977. I would like to write a short history on the Gun, the history of its capture by NZ Forces, its shipping back to NZ, and its history in NZ especially Havelock North. If you can help with the history of the Gun's capture and return to NZ, contact John.
John has also sent three pictorial articles about older guns:
Waipawa Krupp 105mm Field Gun m1896 No 6426
Pirongia 6-pound Hotchkiss #138, c1890
Hokianga Krupp howitzer
Plus, from Whanganui:
Whanganui Krupp 75 mm - note the two links at the bottom of the article.
